ITAB has continuous product development of checkout systems, including in the self-checkout segment. The purpose is to find tomorrow’s solutions. Self-checkout gives the consumer a quick and convenient service alternative that allows them to personally check out and scan their items at the checkout. The system frees up staff, reduces waste, saves shop space and makes room for more items or exit checkouts with shorter queues as a result. Two different alternatives are offered within the framework of the ITAB SCO Flow Concept™. TwinFlow™ is the market’s only checkout with double conveyor belts for better efficiency. MoveFlow™ is a smaller unit suited for customer baskets and a few items. The concept also includes products for cash payment, customer support, surveillance and exiting. The products, which are under constant development, are marketed and sold in ITAB’s selfcheckout company ITAB Scanflow.
